At Sumberkima Hill, we care about your experience in the villa as well as outside of it. To ensure that you are able to experience the region in the best possible way, we have a host of activities on offer. North West Bali has the largest area of shallow reefs in Bali. This vibrant ecosystem, when combined with soft waves and gentle currents makes it the best spot to go diving or snorkelling! From Sumberkima Bay to Pulau Menjangan and the Biorock structures in Pemuteran; there’s a lot to discover!
The Bay of Sumberkima has large, shallow reefs and a white sand island. The best way to explore these little wonders is with Metamorfosa’s canoe or boat trips. You can explore the area and visit the mangroves, fish farms or enjoy a barbecue on the island. During sunset and sunrise, the sky is ablaze with colours!
We are strong believers of the slow lifestyle and we invite you to lower your pace with us. Step into our yoga shala and enter a flow state as your body learns to let go. We also have a range of spa treatments for those who are in need of a bit of pampering. We will help you align your energies in many ways!
The rich tapestry of culture and religion that weaves Bali together has its heart in North West Bali, from where Hinduism spread throughout the island. The Balinese calendar is full of ceremonies that are celebrated extensively and the temples are ancient, intricate and splendid.
The gorgeous island of Gili Putih is the ideal place to bond with your companions. We can tailor make a day on the island for you that involves everything from beach barbecues, live music, bonfire, sunset cocktails and even yoga sessions. It’s not every day that you get to spend the evening on your very own island paradise!
What makes Sumberkima Hill what it is is the warm and welcoming community. We encourage you to spend an afternoon or two walking or biking through the village, interacting with the locals and taking in the rich landscape – the mountains, valleys, sea, coconut groves and paddy fields!
Barat National Park is an ecological marvel – a mountainous stretch with primary monsoon forest, mangrove forest, lowland rainforest, savannah, sea grass vegetation, coral reefs and so much more! Together with a guide, you can explore the beautiful flora & fauna of this park.
Sumberkima Hill is not just about leisure and comfort – we have a whole set of experiences for thrill seekers and explorers. With 7 waterfalls and several treks of varying difficulty, our guides will ensure that you enjoy the excursion with just the right amount of adrenaline!
Our cooking classes with Chef Suma allow you to learn how to use local and seasonal ingredients to prepare the tastiest meals of your choice. You can even accompany him to the local market where you learn the art of selecting the freshest ingredients and meet the farmers who grow this organic produce.
The most impressive Indonesian volcano is Kawah Ijen (2,600m) on Eastern Java with its turquoise-colored acid crater lake and active sulphur mine. The track to the crater is about 3 km of which only 1.5km is a bit of a steep climb. The view at the top of the mountain is breathtaking!
You can visit the turtle hatchery at Reef Seen on Pemuteran Beach which protects living sea turtles as well as their eggs. For a small donation, you can visit the project and hear their story. You can even sponsor the care of a juvenile turtle and release it into the sea yourself!
