This is the fastest and most scenic route. You will drive past a panoramic view point at the pass of Wanigiri, the twin lakes Buyan and Tambligan, the Munduk waterfalls, Banyuatis (famous for its coffee), Gunungsari, Mayong, Rangdu, the old market town of Seririt and the coastal road that leads to Sumberkima.

The Pupuan route

If you're arriving from Denpasar, the southern part of the Pupuan route can be a bit busy before entering the mountain range. Once you head into the mountains, the traffic eases and you're rewarded with a scenic and peaceful drive.

The Pupuan route is also less steep and winding, making it a more comfortable journey overall. You'll pass through traditional villages and enjoy picture-perfect views of rice paddies and lush hillsides, with plenty of opportunities to stop and take it all in.
