We can arrange an air-conditioned car to pick you up from the airport or your previous hotel and bring you to Sumberkima Hill. The scenic drive from South Bali takes around 4 hours, depending on traffic.
From the airport
The car we send depends on the size of your group and how much luggage you bring. These are guide prices for a one-way transfer from Ngurah Rai airport, including luggage. The price can be higher in high season or with a lot of luggage, so our office team confirms it when you book. Please send us your flight number and arrival time.

Get a transport quote
You pay the driver directly in IDR. If you have no rupiah, the driver will stop at an ATM on the way.

From your previous hotel
We can pick you up wherever you are staying in Bali. The price depends on the location, the size of your group and your luggage, so ask our office team for a quote. You can also make it a day tour with scenic stops. From the south, for example, you can stop at Ulun Danu Temple, the Twin Lakes and the Munduk waterfalls.
From Gilimanuk harbour
A pick up for up to 3 people with luggage is IDR 400,000. For larger groups, ask our office team for a quote. If you are arriving from Java, remember that Bali is one hour ahead.
Local taxi
We work with local taxi drivers for trips to nearby beaches and restaurants. These are fixed fares:
- Pemuteran, Mimpi and DynastyIDR 75,000 per way
- Menjangan Bali Tower, Pantai Menjangan, Plataran and Labuhan LalangIDR 150,000 per way

Route 1
The scenic route
This is the fastest and most scenic route. You will drive past a panoramic viewpoint at the Wanagiri pass, the twin lakes Buyan and Tamblingan, the Munduk waterfalls, Banyuatis (famous for its coffee), Gunungsari, Mayong, Rangdu, the old market town of Seririt and the coastal road that leads to Sumberkima.

Route 2
The Pupuan route
If you are arriving from Denpasar, the southern part of the Pupuan route can be busy before it enters the mountains. Once you head into the mountains, the traffic eases and the drive becomes quiet and scenic.
The Pupuan route is also less steep and winding, which makes it a more comfortable journey. You pass through traditional villages with views of rice paddies and green hillsides, and there are plenty of places to stop along the way.

Route 3
The coastal route
This route avoids the mountains but is less scenic. On the way you pass Balian Beach and Medewi, two good surf spots worth a visit. After Gilimanuk the road is much quieter and takes you past the West Bali National Park.

Once you arrive, there are several ways to get around the retreat and explore the area. Our front office can arrange any of them and recommend places to visit.
Free shuttle
Our free shuttle takes you between your villa, the restaurants and the facilities at Sumberkima Hill, Metamorfosa and Mangroove Bay. Ask the front office to arrange a pickup, and book ahead when you can, as the drivers are often busy.
Scooter rental
Local rental businesses offer scooters, from basic models to the Yamaha NMAX. The front office can put you in touch, and the scooter can be brought to your villa. Rentals include helmets.
Car with driver
We can arrange a car with a local driver for day trips around Northwest Bali, such as waterfalls, temples and traditional villages. The price depends on where you go and for how long.
Walking paths
Walking paths connect the villa areas across the hill, with views of the mountains and the sea along the way.
